Photographed between Bengaluru and Al Ruwais, Bond traces my family’s experience of migration, aspiration, and home.

For nearly two decades, my elder brother has worked in the Gulf, carrying a dream of building a home for our family in our homeland. I document his life in the Gulf and the construction of his house in India, reflecting the distance, sacrifice, collective effort and emotional ties that connect us across geographies. Alongside these photographs are intimate moments with my mother, who passed away during mid construction.
